Katja Rivera
Actor and Actor's Equity Liason

Katja studied theatre (and nothing else) at Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy and the Drama Studio London at Berkeley. After getting her Equity Card she figured it was a good time to take a ten year hiatus from acting (i.e she had 2 babies and wasn't so good at leaving them), but returned with Shotgun's production of "Silence and the Storyteller." Other Shotgun productions include "Three Sisters" (Anfisa) and "We Won't Pay" (Antonia). She's also acted with the Magic Theatre, Theatre Rhinoceros, Center Rep and Geoffrey Chaucer and Co., as well as directed with Shotgun ("The Winged Man"), Eastenders Rep, Subterranean Shakespeare ("Comedy of Errors") and Playground. In her copious spare time she likes to run marathons.

Marilyn is a Bay Area native who studied Dramatic Art-Dance and English at UC Berkeley sometime in the last century. She has costume designed a couple of shows (including The Vampires) and stage-managed a great many shows (including The Death of Meyerhold and Dog Act). She helps with box office and lobby displays and sews and paints and hammers and scrounges things off the streets at night for props. During the day, she wrangles office machines and young theatre arts campers at the Julia Morgan Center for the Arts. Sometimes, she sticks her big toe in the fight for creating public value and building arts participation with the Arts Marketing Institute. If she weren't a Shotgun Player, she'd be Buffy, or maybe a cat.
